JDA allots alternate plots to Ring Road-affected families in Jammu

JAMMU, JANUARY 2: The Jammu Development Authority (JDA) Friday conducted a draw of lots for allotment of 22 (19 plots of size 25`x50` and 03 plots of 30`x60`) alternate plots in lieu of plots affected by the Ring Road Project at Kot Bhalwal Housing Colony, Jammu.

The initiative, as per an official statement has marked a significant milestone in resolving an issue that had remained pending for over a decade, providing long-awaited relief to the affected allottees.

The draw of lots was held on 02.01.2026 at the JDA complex in a fair and transparent manner, in presence of the concerned allottees and JDA officers and officials.

Vice Chairman, JDA, Rupesh Kumar, stated that JDA is committed to resolve long-standing public issues through transparent and fair manner while ensuring equitable rehabilitation as per the established norms.

The allottees expressed happiness and satisfaction over the transparent conduct of the draw of lots. They thanked the Jammu Development Authority for resolving a long-pending issue that had been awaiting resolution for more than a decade.

The initiative reflects JDA’s continued commitment towards citizen-centric governance, resolution of legacy issues and smooth implementation of major infrastructure projects.
