SRINAGAR, JANUARY 07: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, Wednesday inaugurated a dedicated parking facility at the Old Secretariat, Srinagar, for the staff of various offices housed at the Amar Niwas Complex.

Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo and other officers including Assistant Commissioner Central, Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Chief Planning Officer Srinagar, Deputy Director Planning, and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

The parking space for around 50 vehicles has been earmarked to facilitate employees of various offices including the Financial Commissioner’s Office, Divisional Commissioner’s Office, and Deputy Commissioner’s Office.

The newly inaugurated parking facility is expected to provide significant relief to employees who were earlier unable to park their vehicles conveniently due to space constraints.

On the occasion, the Divisional Commissioner directed police officials to assist in the efficient utilization of the parking facility. He also instructed officials of the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) to relocate electric poles from the parking area to ensure smooth functioning.
