JKTPO spotlights J&K’s culinary brilliance
NOIDA, JANUARY 08: The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO), under the aegis of the Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, is proudly showcasing the region’s diverse Food, Agriculture and Horticulture products at the prestigious 9th Edition of Indus Food 2026, Asia’s largest export-focused food and beverage (F&B) exhibition, being held from 08–10 January 2026 at the India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida under Raising and Accelerating MSME Programme (RAMP) intervention of Ministry of MSME.
The event, as per an official statement issued on Thursday organised by the Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI), aims to further consolidate India’s position as a trusted and competitive partner in global food supply chains by bringing together leading Indian food producers, international buyers, policymakers, industry leaders and global institutions on a single platform to facilitate trade collaborations, bilateral engagements and long-term partnerships.
The mega event was inaugurated by Union Minister of Food Processing Industries, Chirag Paswan, reflecting the Government’s strong commitment towards strengthening India’s food processing ecosystem, enhancing export competitiveness and expanding global market access for Indian food products.
The Jammu & Kashmir Pavilion, located at Hall No. 8A, provides a vibrant platform for MSMEs, FPOs and women entrepreneurs to showcase their premium offerings. The Pavilion highlights Jammu and Kashmir’s world-renowned Geographical Indication (GI)-tagged products such as Saffron, Garlic, Rajmah, Basmati Rice, Sulai (Acacia) and multifloral honey, along with organic honey, essential oils, herbs, grounded spices, pulses, dry fruits, dehydrated fruits and vegetables — reflecting the region’s authenticity, quality and excellence
The exhibition is expected to witness participation from over 120 countries, including thousands of verified global buyers and several high-level international trade delegations.
The platform not only provided exposure and experience but also facilitated substantial business opportunities for entrepreneurs from Jammu & Kashmir. The region’s exceptional products and culinary traditions stood out, contributing to the success of Indus Food 2026 as a significant avenue for promoting India’s diverse food industry on the global stage.
Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director, JKTPO, Sh. Sudershan Kumar stated: “The Jammu & Kashmir Pavilion at Indus Food 2026 reflects our region’s growing strength in agri-based value chains, quality production and export readiness. Our entrepreneurs are receiving encouraging responses from global buyers, opening new avenues for market access and long-term partnerships. JKTPO remains committed to enabling MSMEs, FPOs and women entrepreneurs to integrate with global markets and build a strong brand identity for J&K products worldwide.”
The event served as a testament to the region’s commitment to promoting its unique offerings and fostering meaningful connections within the global food and beverage community.
