Budgam awarded for bye-election 2025 excellence

Budgam, Jan 25: Budgam District has been conferred with the Best District Election Award for its outstanding performance in the conduct of the recent Bye-Elections.

 

The award was presented by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir at a function convened at the Convention Centre, Jammu.

 

The award recognizes the District administration’s exemplary planning, efficient execution, and strict adherence to the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.

 

The district was selected for the award in recognition of its transparent, peaceful, voter-friendly election management, ensuring high standards of electoral integrity and seamless coordination among all stakeholders.

 

Dr Bilal Mohi ud Din Bhat, District Election Officer (DEO)Budgam dedicated this award to the Team Budgam and all other stakeholders. “It is an acknowledgement to the collective efforts of all officers, polling personnel and security forces  who contributed to the successful conduct of the bye-elections,” he said. The DEO appreciated the cooperation of political parties, candidates, media, and voters.

 

The district administration reaffirmed its commitment to upholding democratic values and strong belief in transparency and professionalism.
