DDC Budgam reviews JJM status, calls for swift completion of all ongoing projects

BUDGAM, JANUARY 29: District Development commissioner (DDC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat Thursday conducted review of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.

The  detailed review and status, as per an official statement was put forth before the DDC touching various aspects of the scheme and progress made in various major and minor schemes approved under JJM.

The chair was apprised that there are a total of 164 projects in the District, out of which 108 stand physically completed .

Recognizing the significance of JJM, the DDC along with key officials and stakeholders, undertook a detailed evaluation of the mission’s progress and future plans within the district. He highlighted the importance of delivering safe drinking water to every household in the district.

The DDC also emphasized the need to expedite the implementation process and ensure that all eligible households receive tap water connections as per the mission’s guidelines.

The review meeting also discussed challenges faced during the implementation of the mission and explored possible solutions to overcome them.

The DDC directed concerned officials to address any bottlenecks promptly and ensure the timely completion of ongoing projects. He emphasized on the importance of close coordination among all stakeholders to accomplish the mission’s targets effectively and within the stipulated timeline.

Detailed review was conducted by the DDC on the progress of works approved under JJM, Har Ghar Jal Certification, Functional Household tap connections(FHTCs), Monitoring of Water Quality assessment and community mobilisation for participation in the mission.

Besides, ADC Budgam, SE Hydraulics Circle Budgam, CPO Budgam, all Executive Engineers of Jal Shakti department Budgam, ACP , ACD and other concerned officers and officials were present in the meeting.
