Commends ITBP initiative promoting national unity

Jammu, Jan 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday interacted with the group of students who returned from the Bharat Darshan tour, organized by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) under its Civic Action Programme.

The Lieutenant Governor commended the initiative aimed at fostering a spirit of national integration, unity, and cultural understanding among the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.  The students also shared their firsthand experiences and insights from their meeting with the President of India.

The group comprised 26 students hailing from various districts, including Srinagar, Kishtwar, Baramulla, and Anantnag. The students undertook educational and cultural visits to major landmarks in Hyderabad and New Delhi.

Ajay Nirmalkar, Commanding Officer, 21 Bn ITBP; Dr Suraj S.R., Assistant Commandant, ITBP; Mukesh Kumar Ganesh and Umaisa Farooq, teachers and other officials who have accompanied the students were present during the interaction.
