DC Kulgam reviews arrangements for Maha Shivratri celebrations

KULGAM, FEBRUARY 05: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, Thursday convened a meeting of officers to finalize arrangements for the forthcoming Mahashivratri celebrations in the district.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the preparedness of various departments and issued necessary directions to ensure smooth and hassle-free celebrations.

 He directed the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply and adequate availability of rations at Vessu Migrant Colony, Manzgam, Kulgam, Chawalgam, and other habitations of the Pandit community across the district.

The Assistant Director Fisheries was instructed to ensure availability of trout fish by establishing sale outlets at various designated locations. Concerned departments were directed to maintain adequate stocks of vegetables and walnuts, while the Chief Medical Officer was asked to make proper medical arrangements, including deployment of medical teams and availability of ambulances at all key locations.

Executive Officers were directed to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness at all temples and surrounding areas.

The DC further instructed all officers to coordinate closely and ensure comprehensive arrangements at all identified locations for the convenience of devotees.
