On the occasion, the DC emphasised coordinated efforts among all departments to ensure uninterrupted essential services, availability of quality food items, and effective market regulation during the holy month.

The Assistant Director, FCS&CA, informed the meeting that sufficient stocks of essential commodities are available across the district. The DC directed the Power Development Department (PDD) to maintain a transparent power schedule and prepare a detailed 30-day roster indicating day-wise, hour-wise and feeder-wise supply, besides furnishing details of the existing supply and any additional requirements.

Highlighting the importance of public health and hygiene, the DC, as per an official statement, directed the Food Safety Department to constitute dedicated teams for regular market inspections to prevent the sale of substandard food items and check price escalation. The Deputy Commissioner stressed strict monitoring of markets to prevent overpricing, hoarding and sale of substandard material, and urged all departments to work in close coordination to facilitate smooth observance of Ramadan for the people of Bandipora.

The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad Wani; Assistant Commissioner Development; Assistant Director, FCS&CA; ARTO Bandipora; DIO Bandipora; and officers from PDD, PHE, Municipal Committee, Fire and Emergency Services and other concerned departments.
