Jammu, Feb 12: Minister for Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Satish Sharma on Thursday apologised for his conduct towards Leader of Opposition (LoP) Sunil Kumar Sharma and MLA Sham Lal Sharma.

As soon as the minister stood up to respond to a question from MLA Sopore Irshad Rasool Kar, according to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he requested the Speaker to first allow him to apologise to the LoP and Sham Lal Sharma.

“Before answering the question, if you give me 30 seconds, I would like to apologise for my conduct with two members—the LoP and Sham Lal Sharma. I was not feeling well at that time. I regret my behaviour. I am not like that. It was not appropriate on my part,” he said.

Satish Sharma, who won as an independent candidate in the 2024 Assembly polls, is the son of deceased Congress leader Madan Lal Sharma and the nephew of Sham Lal Sharma. (KNO)
