Bandipora admin holds basic life support training workshop

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 20: District Administration Bandipora in collaboration with the Ali’s Sports Academy and PeerWaer Foundation Friday conducted a one-day Model Pilot Basic Life Support (BLS) & First Response Training Workshop at Auditorium Hall, NM Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Kaloosa, with the aim of strengthening emergency response preparedness in the district.

The programme, as per an official statement, focused on providing practical training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), basic life support techniques, and essential first aid measures required during medical emergencies.

The participants received hands-on training on administering CPR, managing choking cases, controlling bleeding, handling fractures, and responding effectively during emergency situations.

The initiative was undertaken to enhance emergency care response and to further strengthen the disaster management force of the district.

Emphasis was laid on the importance of prompt and coordinated action during critical situations to save lives and reduce the impact of disasters.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl;  Employees from various departments of the District Administration, including the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), participated in the training programme.
