DC Samba directs NHAI for timely completion of works

SAMBA, FEBRUARY 24: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Ayushi Sudan, Tuesday conducted a comprehensive review of the condition of the National Highway in the district, with an on-site assessment of the ongoing construction works and the compliance with prescribed safety standards.

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner, as per an official statement, issued strict directives to officials of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), to avoid unnecessary delay in the execution of ongoing works. She stressed on proper signage, effective traffic management measures and adherence to safety norms to ensure unhindered and secure movement of vehicles during the construction phase.

The DC further emphasized that the timely completion of these works would bring immense relief to the residents of the region.
