The programme, as per PIB statement, offered by the Discipline of Psychology, School of Social Sciences, is designed to develop skilled professionals equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise in Rehabilitation Psychology — a field focused on assessment, intervention and support for persons with disabilities across different life stages.

The curriculum provides comprehensive training in disability assessment, psychosocial issues, rehabilitation counselling and community-based rehabilitation practices. The subjects covered include Disability and Rehabilitation, Psychosocial Issues in Disability, Rehabilitation Assessment and Counselling, Community-based Rehabilitation, and practical laboratory work in identification, assessment and intervention techniques.

The programme conforms to the norms and guidelines of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), ensuring academic and professional relevance for learners seeking careers in clinical, community or institutional rehabilitation services. Eligibility for admission will be governed as per RCI Norms and Regulations, 2017.

Prospective applicants can complete their registration on the dedicated Samarth portal by selecting “New Registration,” creating a user profile and uploading the required documents as per the prescribed eligibility criteria. The last date for submission of the online application is March 5, 2026. Detailed instructions and FAQs are available on the portal.
