Srinagar, Feb 27: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial Vice President and MLA Lal Chowk Ahsan Pardesi Friday chaired a comprehensive review meeting with party functionaries of the Lal Chowk constituency to review and evaluate the progress of ongoing developmental initiatives and assess implementation status of various public welfare works across the constituency.

The meeting, as per a party statement, witnessed detailed deliberations on infrastructure augmentation, upgradation of civic amenities, and strengthening of basic facilities. Pardesi informed the functionaries that developmental projects amounting to Rs 4 crore were initiated through his Constituency Development Fund (CDF), while an additional Rs 21 crore has been secured under the Capex Budget to fast-track priority works, address infrastructural deficiencies, and ensure systematic urban transformation.

Highlighting the importance of food security and welfare delivery, Pardesi stated that he has been personally monitoring the timely distribution of ration supplies to ensure that beneficiaries receive essential commodities without delay. He noted that continuous coordination with the concerned departments is being maintained to guarantee transparency, efficiency and uninterrupted public distribution services.

On the occasion, Provincial Women’s Wing President Sabiya Qadri also addressed the gathering and underscored the importance of inclusive governance, women’s participation in developmental processes, and sustained grassroots engagement to resolve civic grievances.

In addition to developmental matters, organizational and party-related issues were also discussed. The leadership reviewed strategies for strengthening booth-level structures, enhancing cadre outreach, improving coordination mechanisms, and consolidating the party’s grassroots network.
