Srinagar, Mar 05: In a sweeping reshuffle of gubernatorial positions, Kavinder Gupta has been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, while Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Vinai Kumar Saxena has been appointed as LG of Ladakh.
As per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the President of India today appointed the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh as Governor of Himachal Pradesh in place of Shiv Pratap Shukla, who has been appointed as Governor of Telangana. As per details, Jishnu Dev Varma, Governor of Telangana, has been shifted to Maharashtra.
The President of India also appointed Nand Kishore Yadav as Governor of Nagaland and former Lieutenant General (Retired) Syed Ata Hasnain as Governor of Bihar. Hasnain, a decorated Army officer, commanded the Srinagar-based 15 Corps among other key assignments during his distinguished military career.
R.N. Ravi, Governor of Tamil Nadu, has been appointed as Governor of West Bengal.
Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Kerala, will discharge the functions of Governor of Tamil Nadu.
According to details, Vinai Kumar Saxena, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, has been appointed as Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, while Taranjit Singh Sandhu has been appointed as Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. (KNO)
