Srinagar/Assam, Mar 09: BJP leader and Assam election co-incharge Sunil Sharma said Assam is witnessing a new era of connectivity and development as the party pushes ahead with major road, bridge, and highway projects across the state.

These initiatives aim to strengthen infrastructure, improve trade and transport and connect remote areas to urban centers.

Addressing a large gathering in West Karbi Anglong, LoP Sharma credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for positioning Assam as a key hub of growth in Northeast India, saying the projects are transforming the state’s economic landscape while opening new opportunities for citizens and businesses alike.

He highlighted the Modi government’s focus on infrastructure, including highways, bridges, railways and industrial projects, which are creating opportunities for youth, farmers and entrepreneurs.

Sharma also praised welfare schemes in housing, healthcare, agriculture and skill development, which have brought dignity and economic empowerment to millions of families.

“BJP believes in inclusive development, reaching the last person in the queue,” Sharma said, stressing transparency, accountability, and nation-building.

He expressed confidence that strong public support and the dedication of BJP workers will continue driving Assam’s prosperity, in line with the national vision of a “Viksit Bharat.”—(KNO)
