KISHTWAR, MARCH 28: In a stirring display of patriotism and collective remembrance, the Police Department, in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar, on Saturday organized a mega rally under the special “Vande Mataram” campaign to commemorate Shaheedi Divas and mark the 150th anniversary of India’s iconic national song.
The rally, as per an official statement, was led by Additional Deputy Commissioner Pawan Kotwal and DySP Headquarters, Dr. Ishan Gupta. The event formed part of a week-long celebrations being held from March 23 to March 30, 2026, across the country to honour the indomitable spirit of patriotism and remembering the brave hearts who laid down their lives for the nation.
The rally, which commenced from District Police Lines culminated at Dak Bungalow, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, officers and officials from civil and police administration, reflecting a strong sense of unity and national pride.
The campaign continues to inspire citizens, especially the youth, to uphold the values of sacrifice, integrity and devotion to the nation.
