Jammu, Mar 30: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, which will be celebrated on Tuesday.
In a message, the Lieutenant Governor said, “On the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, I extend my hearty greetings and best wishes to all. Bhagwan Mahavir’s profound teachings of Ahimsa (non-violence), Satya (truth), compassion, and humility serve as a guiding light for humanity. Let us, on this auspicious day, rededicate ourselves to the ideals of Bhagwan Mahavir and resolve to work selflessly for the upliftment of the downtrodden and the collective welfare of society.”
CM Abdullah extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, wishing them happiness, peace and prosperity.
In his message, Abdullah said Jammu and Kashmir has a rich legacy of celebrating festivals and sacred occasions in an atmosphere of unity and harmony. He called upon the people to further strengthen this cherished tradition, adding that such occasions offer an opportunity to deepen mutual bonds of love, reinforce communal harmony and promote brotherhood across society.
The Chief Minister prayed for sustained peace, prosperity and progress of Jammu and Kashmir and the nation.
