RAJOURI, APRIL 2: Deputy Advisor, NITI Aayog, Dr Muni Raju SB, Thursday chaired a comprehensive review meeting at Rajouri to assess the progress achieved under Sampoornata Abhiyan 2.0 in Aspirational Block Khawas.

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, presented a detailed PowerPoint Presentation and briefed the visiting officer on key indicators. He told about the status of saturation across sectors including ICDS, Education, Animal Husbandry, Health, Nutrition, Agriculture & allied sectors, basic infrastructure and other social development parameters.

During the meeting, the Deputy Advisor held an interactive session with the district and sectoral officers to obtain first-hand feedback on the challenges being faced in implementation of various government schemes.

The officers highlighted key issues such as inadequate school infrastructure, poor internet and road connectivity, shortage of trained staff and insufficient healthcare personnel as major bottlenecks affecting the public service delivery.

The Deputy Commissioner also apprised the meeting of several initiatives undertaken by the district administration in Khawas to address these challenges. These included introduction of telemedicine facilities at Badhaal, deployment of mobile medical units, installation of CCTV cameras in schools and provision of free coaching facilities for students.

Appreciating the efforts of the district administration, Dr. Muni Raju SB lauded their proactive approach adopted in improving the service delivery in the aspirational block. He further directed the concerned departments to explore and propose establishment of an Eklavya Model Residential School for Khawas to enhance educational infrastructure in the area.

ADDC Rajouri Malikzada Sheraz-ul-Haq, Programme Officer ICDS Harpal Singh, CPO Maqsood Ahmed, DSEO Sandeep Sharma, ACD Auqil Naveed, AD FCS&CA Rohit Kumar, CMO Dr. Manohar Lal Rana, CEO Mohd Hafeez, Executive Engineers of PDD and PHE Muneer Ahmed and Sudesh Kumar, DSHO, CAHO Khalid Hussain, District Horticulture Officer Sushil Kumar, Lead Bank Manager and other district and sectoral officers attended the meeting.
