Calls for transparent, people-centric dissemination of information

Jammu, Apr 01: Shreya Singhal, IAS, on Wednesday assumed the charge of Director Information Jammu & Kashmir.

After assuming office, the Director held an introductory meet with the senior officers and officials of the DIPR. She emphasised the importance of transparent, timely and people-centric dissemination of information.

The Director highlighted the role of the Information Department as a vital bridge between the government and the citizens, stating that effective communication remains essential for promoting awareness about developmental initiatives and welfare programmes of the government.

Shreya Singhal reiterated her commitment towards modernising the communication strategies by integrating digital platforms, enhancing media coordination and encouraging constructive engagement with the stakeholders.

Joint Director Information (Hqr), Dr Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Joint Director Information Jammu, Deepak Dubey; Deputy Director Information (PR&AV), Javid Ahmad Rather; other senior officers and officials of DIPR were present on the occasion.
