LG Sinha prorogues J&K Legislative Assembly

Jammu, Apr 8: he Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, has prorogued the Legislative Assembly of the Union Territory, formally winding up the Legislative Assembly session.

According to a bulletin issued by the Assembly Secretariat, the order dated April 7, 2026, was issued by the Lieutenant Governor in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 18(2)(a) of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Act, 2019.
