Jammu, Jan 24: Stating that Uttar Pradesh represents India’s vital core, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that the region binds the nation together in all directions\u2014North to South, East to West.<\/p>\n

Jammu Kashmir Lok Bhavan, according to the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), hosted the grand celebrations of Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day here.<\/p>\n

While addressing the gathering, LG Sinha extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Uttar Pradesh.<\/p>\n

He paid homage to the great luminaries, freedom fighters, and revolutionaries from the state and recalled their pivotal role in building a modern India.<\/p>\n

\u201cLiterary figures have identified the ancient Uttar Pradesh region as India’s heartland, the cradle of major scriptures\u2014the Vedas, Upanishads, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Puranas,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cTo me, Uttar Pradesh represents a wellspring that has nurtured the country’s cultural consciousness.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Lieutenant Governor stated that words fall short in capturing Uttar Pradesh’s richness; it must be felt and lived to be fully appreciated.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is where the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet\u2014a sacred junction with millennia of history. It serves as a spiritual center offering timeless wisdom to humanity, and stands as a place of devotion that stirs global consciousness through its cultural and literary heritage,\u201d LG Sinha said.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the spiritual-cultural contributions of the region, the Lieutenant Governor said that Uttar Pradesh represents India’s vital core, binding the nation together across all directions\u2014North to South, East to West.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe spiritual luminaries of this dynamic region, through their deep contemplation, gifted us an invaluable teaching: that the ultimate quest transcends all others\u2014the quest to understand oneself.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most profound journey we can undertake is the inward one. This wisdom offers essential guidance for navigating our contemporary, rapidly changing world,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted the Uttar Pradesh’s recent progress, noting that its development trajectory has been exemplary. He expressed his wishes for the state to continue to flourish and thrive, achieving even greater economic milestones and prosperity in the coming years.<\/p>\n
