{"id":10522,"date":"2026-01-26T19:56:25","date_gmt":"2026-01-26T19:56:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=10522"},"modified":"2026-01-26T19:56:25","modified_gmt":"2026-01-26T19:56:25","slug":"visitor-uses-replica-flag-to-showcase-defence-strength-peace-message","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/01\/26\/visitor-uses-replica-flag-to-showcase-defence-strength-peace-message\/","title":{"rendered":"Visitor uses replica, flag to showcase defence strength, peace message"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Srinagar, Jan 26:<\/strong> A miniature model of the BrahMos missile became one of the most talked-about sights at Lal Chowk on Monday as Republic Day celebrations unfolded at the city\u2019s iconic Ghanta Ghar (Clock Tower).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The replica, carried by a tourist from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, drew attention from locals and visitors who paused to take photographs and ask about its significance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The tourist, who identified himself as Arun, had painted his body in the colours of the Tricolour and waved the National Flag amid chants of \u201cBharat Mata Ki Jai\u201d throughout the day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He said the BrahMos model symbolised not only India\u2019s technological strength but also the country\u2019s resolve in responding to threats.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Arun told KNO that he wanted to convey a message of peace and unity from Kashmir\u2019s historic centre. \u201cThis model represents India\u2019s defence capabilities, our strength and self-reliance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI brought it here to show that strength goes hand-in-hand with peace and brotherhood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the BrahMos missile is one of India\u2019s most advanced precision-strike weapon systems and was prominently showcased this week in the Republic Day parade in New Delhi as part of a themed display linked to Operation Sindoor \u2014 the military response launched by India last year following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 civilians, mostly tourists.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Many onlookers at Lal Chowk said the symbolic display added new meaning to the day\u2019s festivities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ritika Sharma, a visitor from Delhi, said: \u201cSeeing the Tricolour and the BrahMos model here makes Republic Day feel powerful.
