The audience was enthralled by soulful musical renditions of \u201cAe Mere Watan Ke Logon\u201d and other classic melodies.<\/p>\n<p>In recognition of their outstanding display and artistry, the Lieutenant Governor felicitated the contingents of Jammu Kashmir Police and Security Forces; Parade Commander, Ex-Servicemen; Pipe and Brass bands, marching contingents (Boys &amp; Girls), daredevils, commentators, cultural performers and best Tableaux.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony also featured the felicitations of winners of the Vande Mataram singing competition and UT-level online essay writing competition organized by the Department of Information and Public Relations.<\/p>\n<p>The Beating Retreat ceremony concluded with the ever-popular \u2018Saare Jahan Se Achha\u2019 with simultaneous display of spectacular fireworks and sound &amp; light display followed by the National Anthem<strong>\u2014(KNO)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jammu, Jan 29:\u00a0The Customary \u2018Beating Retreat\u2019 ceremony on Thursday marked the culmination of the four-day-long Republic Day celebrations, at the MA Stadium here.
