{"id":11350,"date":"2026-02-04T20:12:03","date_gmt":"2026-02-04T20:12:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=11350"},"modified":"2026-02-04T20:12:03","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T20:12:03","slug":"bjp-mlas-stage-walkout-accuses-speaker-of-bias-in-allocating-time","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/02\/04\/bjp-mlas-stage-walkout-accuses-speaker-of-bias-in-allocating-time\/","title":{"rendered":"BJP MLAs stage walkout, accuses Speaker of bias in allocating time"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jammu, Feb 04:\u00a0<\/strong>Accusing the Speaker of bias in allocating time to MLAs, all the legislators of the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday staged a walkout from the House.<\/p>\n<p>During discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the LG\u2019s address, the BJP MLAs questioned the time given to NC\u2019s Sajad Shaheen, who was speaking at that time.<\/p>\n<p>The BJP MLAs accused the Speaker of bias and alleged that he was giving more to MLAs of the ruling party and ignoring the opposition.<\/p>\n<p>The Speaker denied the charges of the principal opposition party, saying that he was running the House as per established convention and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>He tried to pacify the agitating lawmakers but they didn\u2019t relent and staged a walkout from the House.<\/p>\n<p>Later, the BJP legislators staged a dharna outside House, accusing the Speaker of the bias.<\/p>\n<p>Talking to reporters, Leader of Opposition Sunil Kumar Sharma said the Speaker was muzzling the voice of the opposition and showing bias.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Speaker is protecting the government from answering questions.
