Jammu, Feb 11: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday asked the Speaker to expunge any remarks he made during his reply on budget discussions, if they were found unparliamentary.<\/p>\n
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, the CM, as per news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said he regretted the remarks made in the House the previous day.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat I said hurt them. I regret that. But my remarks were directed against them, not against their family members,\u201d he said, adding that Sharma had dragged his grandfather and parents into the issue.<\/p>\n
Taking a dig at Sharma over his absence from the House, the CM remarked: \u201cWe should commend the Army, which is still holding the front despite its general leaving the battleground. I will not leave you in the lurch like your general.\u201d<\/p>\n
The CM requested the Speaker to expunge any unparliamentary remark made by him during his speech.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf I have made any unparliamentary remark, you can expunge it from the records. I have no objection to it,\u201d he told the chair.<\/p>\n
