{"id":1360,"date":"2025-10-16T20:05:43","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T20:05:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=1360"},"modified":"2025-10-16T20:05:43","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T20:05:43","slug":"under-pm-modi-challenges-turning-into-opportunities-rajnath-singh","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/10\/16\/under-pm-modi-challenges-turning-into-opportunities-rajnath-singh\/","title":{"rendered":"Under PM Modi, challenges turning into opportunities: Rajnath Singh"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sajid Raina<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Srinagar, Oct 16: Stating that Operation Sindoor demonstrated India\u2019s growing indigenous defence capability, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday said that under PM Modi\u2019s leadership India has turned earlier challenges into measurable outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the convocation ceremony of Symbiosis Skills and Professional University in Pune, the Defence Minister, according to the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said, \u201cThe government is committed to building a self-reliant defence manufacturing ecosystem and make India one of the most powerful countries in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While tracing India\u2019s journey towards self-reliance in defence, he said that the country had been heavily dependent on other nations for weapons since independence. \u201cUnder PM Modi\u2019s leadership, we pledged to transform the defence sector because, since independence, we lacked the political will and enabling laws to manufacture in India. That required a change,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Defence Minister said the bravery of Indian soldiers during \u2018Operation Sindoor\u2019 was supported by a significant amount of equipment produced in India. He added that the operation showed both the courage of soldiers and the nation\u2019s technological capabilities.<\/p>\n<p>Singh credited the private sector for contributing to defence production. He noted that annual production had increased from \u20b946,000 crore to \u20b91.5 lakh crore over the last decade, with the private sector accounting for around \u20b933,000 crore. He said the government aims to achieve \u20b93 lakh crore in defence manufacturing and \u20b950,000 crore in defence exports by 2029.<\/p>\n<p>Singh told the students that success is not only about acquiring degrees but also about applying knowledge for society. \u201cWe are no longer in the era of \u2018What do you know?\u2019 The world now asks, \u2018What can you do?\u2019 Skill is the bridge between learning and doing,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>On technology and artificial intelligence, Singh told students that AI will not replace humans, but those who use AI effectively will replace those who do not. He said technology should remain a tool and should not replace human values, ethics, and sensitivity.<\/p>\n<p>Singh said India is entering a phase aimed at becoming a developed nation by 2047.<\/p>\n<p>He told students that the next 20\u201325 years will shape both their careers and the country\u2019s trajectory. \u201cLet your ambition fuel the country\u2019s transformation,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>During the event, the School of Defence and Aerospace Technology at Symbiosis Skills and Professional University was inaugurated by Singh and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, in the presence of state ministers and the university\u2019s Vice-Chancellor.
