{"id":13890,"date":"2026-03-05T18:09:44","date_gmt":"2026-03-05T18:09:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=13890"},"modified":"2026-03-05T18:11:53","modified_gmt":"2026-03-05T18:11:53","slug":"ceiling-collapses-during-drug-awareness-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/03\/05\/ceiling-collapses-during-drug-awareness-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Ceiling collapses during drug awareness programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Anantnag, Mar 05:\u00a0<\/strong>Two employees sustained minor injuries after a portion of the ceiling at the Town Hall in Dooru area of south Kashmir\u2019s Anantnag district collapsed during a drug awareness conference on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said that the programme, organised as part of a drug-free society campaign, was attended by employees from various departments.<\/p>\n<p>Eyewitnesses said that during the programme, a portion of the ceiling suddenly caved in with a loud noise, creating panic among the participants present in the hall. Two female employees fainted due to shock and sustained minor injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The injured employees were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where they were provided treatment. Officials said the injured female employees are stable.<\/p>\n<p>Executive Officer of the Municipal Committee Dooru, Mohammad Iqbal Bhat, said that only minor injuries were reported in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA portion of the ceiling collapsed during the programme, but fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
