Srinagar, Mar 19: Grand Mufti Nasir-ul-Islam has announced that the crescent was not sighted anywhere in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday and Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The announcement ended suspense across the Valley following Maghrib prayers.<\/p>\n
Speaking to the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), he said no credible reports of moon sighting were received by the official moon-sighting committee. \u201cWith the crescent not sighted this evening, Edi-Ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday,\u201d the Grand Mufti said.<\/p>\n
