Srinagar, Oct 18: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, on Saturday invited tourists to visit the Valley this winter, saying that the administration is fully geared up to ensure smooth public services and promote winter tourism across prominent destinations.<\/p>\n
Speaking to reporters, in Lal Chowk Srinagar, Anshul Garg, per news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that winters are not new to Kashmir, they come every year and with each passing season, administration keeps improving its preparedness.<\/p>\n
He said that the Chief Secretary has issued specific directions regarding winter preparations and that divisional and district administrations are conducting regular field visits to review arrangements.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom control rooms to snow clearance and other facilities, everything has been organized in a detailed and systematic manner,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Highlighting tourism prospects, the Divisional Commissioner said the government is trying to \u201ckickstart winter tourism\u201d this season. \u201cWe invite all tourists to visit Kashmir. Proper arrangements have been made at all prominent destinations, and we warmly welcome every visitor to the Valley,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
