Jammu, Mar 31: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday said the government is determined to fill 25000 vacancies this year.<\/p>\n
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly during Question Hour, the Chief Minister emphasised that the government is firm in its resolve to complete the recruitment process within the year.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis matter has been discussed several times during this session, including during the discussions on the LG\u2019s speech, the budget, and grants,\u201d he said while responding to questions from MLA Pulwama, Waheed-ur-Rehman Para, as per news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO).<\/p>\n
The Chief Minister further said the government is keen to ensure the recruitment process remains transparent and time-bound.<\/p>\n
\u201cTime-bound does not mean that the process should be conducted in a hurried manner, which could result in the matter reaching the courts and the process being halted,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n
He further said, \u201cWe have seen several selection lists being framed and then challenged in the courts. In many cases, it took a long time to resolve the matter, and applicants became overage and could not be recruited. We want to maintain a balance in this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n
