{"id":1615,"date":"2025-10-18T20:31:59","date_gmt":"2025-10-18T20:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=1615"},"modified":"2025-10-18T20:31:59","modified_gmt":"2025-10-18T20:31:59","slug":"ladakh-crisis-extremely-unfortunate-cm-omar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/10\/18\/ladakh-crisis-extremely-unfortunate-cm-omar\/","title":{"rendered":"Ladakh crisis \u2018extremely unfortunate\u2019: CM Omar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Srinagar, Oct 18:\u00a0<\/strong>Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday described the ongoing crisis in Ladakh as \u201cextremely unfortunate\u201d, saying the people of the region have been \u201cpushed to the wall\u201d due to the Centre\u2019s failure to deliver on its promises.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a press conference here, Abdullah said the Union government had pledged Sixth Schedule status to Ladakh but has failed to honour that commitment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe people of Ladakh have been pushed to the wall. Promises have been made to them that have not been kept. Unfortunately, this seems to be a practice, particularly with the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. Promises are made and then promises are broken,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<p>Drawing parallels with Jammu and Kashmir, Omar said the same pattern of \u201cbroken promises\u201d is visible. \u201cYou promised us statehood, but are not fulfilling it. Is the attempt now to push Jammu and Kashmir to the wall also?
