P. Bourney, Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Pr. District &amp; Sessions Judge) Jammu here in the Court complex Janipur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As many as 18 Benches were constituted in different Courts to deal with the matter of 138 Negotiable Instruments Act cases.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Special Lok Adalat focused specifically on the amicable settlement of cheque bounce cases in line with the broader aim of reducing pendency and promoting accessible justice for all.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Special Lok Adalat stands as a testimony to the commitment of the Legal Services Authorities to ensure that justice is not only delivered, but delivered efficiently, empathetically and economically.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also reinforces the importance of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in strengthening the justice delivery system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A total number of 277 cases pertaining to Cheque Bounce Cases were taken up, out of which 74 cases were settled.
