Jammu, Apr 04: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Saturday said terrorism has no space in Jammu and Kashmir, but no innocent should suffer under any circumstances.<\/p>\n
Speaking to reporters outside the Assembly, the Deputy CM, per news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said an inquiry into the Ganderbal incident has already been ordered by the Lieutenant Governor and the government will act based on its findings.<\/p>\n
\u201cJammu and Kashmir has faced terrorism for over three decades. Terrorists have no space here or anywhere in the country. At the same time, no innocent should be killed. Let the inquiry report come,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He said that strict action will be taken if the Ganderbal encounter is found to be fake and stressed that such incidents must not be repeated.<\/p>\n
The Deputy CM also hit out at the opposition over its criticism of the National Conference\u2019s promises, saying the government is accountable to the people.<\/p>\n
