{"id":16797,"date":"2026-04-11T02:00:14","date_gmt":"2026-04-11T02:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=16797"},"modified":"2026-04-11T02:00:14","modified_gmt":"2026-04-11T02:00:14","slug":"final-location-nod-for-reasi-poonch-railway-track","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/04\/11\/final-location-nod-for-reasi-poonch-railway-track\/","title":{"rendered":"Final location nod for Reasi\u2013Poonch railway track"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Srinagar, Apr 08:\u00a0<\/strong>The Ministry of Railways has approved the &#8216;Final Location Survey&#8217; (FLS) for a proposed new railway line between Reasi and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>According to an order issued by the Railway Board, the survey to be carried out by Northern Railway, will cover a distance of around 190 kilometres and has been sanctioned at a cost of Rs 26.41 crore.<\/p>\n<p>The order stated: \u201cThe approval was communicated on April 8, following a proposal submitted by Northern Railway in December last year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Officials said the survey will determine the feasibility, alignment and technical aspects of the proposed rail link aimed at improving connectivity in the region.<\/p>\n<p>The expenditure for the survey will be met under the Railways\u2019 head for policy formulation, research and miscellaneous works, the order added.<\/p>\n<p>The proposed line is expected to enhance rail connectivity in the border districts of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly linking the Pir Panjal region with the existing rail network<strong>\u2014(KNO)<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar, Apr 08:\u00a0The Ministry of Railways has approved the &#8216;Final Location Survey&#8217; (FLS) for a proposed new railway line between Reasi and Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir.
