Srinagar, Oct 21:\u00a0<\/strong>Ahead of the Budgam by-elections, the Convenor of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Trade Union (NCTU) GM Hamdard Tuesday chaired a meeting with wing functionaries.<\/p>\n

The meeting, held at the party\u2019s headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, witnessed active participation from office bearers, trade representatives, and grassroots workers associated with NCTU.<\/p>\n

Hamdard urged the functionaries to get battle-ready for the upcoming by-elections and work in unison to ensure a decisive victory for the party’s candidate, Aga Syed Mehmood. He called for enhanced coordination between wings and booth-level teams to maximize voter engagement and turnout.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe by-election in Budgam is not just about winning a seat; it\u2019s about reaffirming the people\u2019s faith in the National Conference\u2019s legacy of service, integrity, and inclusive development,\u201d said Hamdard.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must reach every shop, every household, and every locality to ensure the message of our candidate, Aga Syed Mehmood, resonates strongly across the constituency.\u201d<\/p>\n

The meeting concluded with a unanimous pledge by the functionaries to intensify campaign efforts, strengthen booth-level presence, and work collectively to uphold the party\u2019s banner in Budgam.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, National Conference also formally launched its campaign for the upcoming Nagrota by-elections, vowing to seek a fresh mandate based on its proven track record of good governance, development, and inclusive politics.<\/p>\n

The campaign kick-off took place at Panj Garain, where key Provincial leaders of the Jammu region rallied party workers and supporters, urging them to reach out to the people with a clear message of hope, progress, and stability under NC\u2019s leadership.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering Additional General Secretary Ajay Sadhotra highlighted the inclusive and hands-on approach of the Omar Abdullah-led government, particularly in responding to the needs of the people of Jammu during times of crisis like the recent calamity. \u201cOmar Sahib\u2019s personal outreach and responsiveness during the floods reflected the party\u2019s deep-rooted commitment to every region and every community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Provincial President Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta, emphasized the importance of the restoration of the Darbar Move, calling it a significant economic lifeline for Jammu. He said, \u201cNational Conference stands for secularism, regional balance, and pro-people governance. It was our party that brought the first people-centric budget, and we continue to champion the cause of the common man.\u201d<\/p>\n

The party\u2019s candidate for the Nagrota seat, Shameem Begum, outlined her vision for the constituency. She recalled the transformative development witnessed in Nagrota under previous NC governments, upgraded road connectivity, improved healthcare infrastructure, and significant investment in the education sector. \u201cWe will build on that legacy and ensure that Nagrota continues on the path of development and empowerment,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The National Conference reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive growth, secular values, and transparent governance, calling on the people of Nagrota to give a resounding mandate in favour of progress and stability.<\/p>\n
