Srinagar, Oct 22: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Srinagar, Dr. Sandeep Chakravarty Wednesday said that Srinagar Police is committed to engaging the city\u2019s youth in positive and constructive activities to keep them away from the menace of drugs.<\/p>\n
He said the youth\u2019s energy and discipline reflect the city\u2019s true spirit and strength.<\/p>\n
Speaking at the grand finale of the Under-20 Football Tournament organized under the Civic Action Programme, SSP Dr. Chakravarty, according to the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said, \u201cOur focus is to connect young people with positive avenues like sports and education. Youth\u2019s energy, discipline and enthusiasm are the true identity of Srinagar.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said the police will continue organizing such events to encourage young talent and promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. \u201cWe will continue organizing such programs to further boost the enthusiasm and energy of our youth,\u201d the SSP added.<\/p>\n
Notably, the final match, played between Bemina and Nowgam, witnessed a thrilling contest, with Team Bemina lifting the title. The SSP appreciated both teams for their discipline and sportsmanship, saying such enthusiasm reflects the brighter side of Srinagar\u2019s youth.
