On May 2, light rain or thundershowers may occur at scattered places with gusty winds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGenerally cloudy conditions with one or two spells of light to moderate rain\/thundershowers are expected at most places on May 3 and 4, with thunder, hailstorm and gusty winds (40\u201350 kmph) at a few locations,\u201d the MeT department said.<\/p>\n<p>Light rain or thundershowers are likely at scattered places again on May 5, while largely dry weather is expected from May 6 to 9, though brief isolated showers in the afternoon cannot be ruled out. Similar brief spells are forecast at isolated places on May 10 and 11.<\/p>\n<p>The MeT has issued an advisory asking farmers to suspend farm operations between May 3 and 5 due to the likelihood of adverse weather.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, temperatures across the Union Territory showed a mixed trend. Srinagar recorded a maximum of 25.7\u00b0C, 3 degrees above normal, while the minimum settled at 10.2\u00b0C. Qazigund registered a high of 25.0\u00b0C and a low of 9.1\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Pahalgam recorded 19.6\u00b0C as the day temperature and 5.4\u00b0C at night, while Kupwara saw a high of 24.4\u00b0C and a low of 8.5\u00b0C. Gulmarg remained cooler at 14.4\u00b0C maximum and 3.0\u00b0C minimum.<\/p>\n<p>In the Jammu division, the winter capital recorded a maximum of 34.5\u00b0C, slightly below normal, and a minimum of 20.7\u00b0C. Katra registered 30.5\u00b0C and 18.0\u00b0C, while Banihal recorded 24.8\u00b0C and 9.6\u00b0C. Bhaderwah saw temperatures of 25.0\u00b0C and 6.8\u00b0C, the data showed.<\/p>\n<p>Rainfall remained negligible at most stations during the day, with some areas like Pahalgam receiving light precipitation in the past 24 hours.
