{"id":19933,"date":"2026-05-14T23:54:56","date_gmt":"2026-05-14T23:54:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=19933"},"modified":"2026-05-14T23:54:56","modified_gmt":"2026-05-14T23:54:56","slug":"dont-provoke-india-again-we-will-hit-back-rajnath-warns-pak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/05\/14\/dont-provoke-india-again-we-will-hit-back-rajnath-warns-pak\/","title":{"rendered":"Don\u2019t provoke India again, we will hit back: Rajnath warns Pak\u00a0\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Says Operation Sindoor reflected India\u2019s zero tolerance policy against terrorism<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Srinagar, May 14: Reiterating India\u2019s \u201czero tolerance\u201d policy against terrorism, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday warned Pakistan of a stronger response if India is provoked again.<\/p>\n<p>Addressing a public gathering in Rajasthan\u2019s Nagaur after unveiling statues of former vice president Bhairon Singh Shekhawat and Rajput ruler Rao Duda Mertia, Singh, according to the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO)\u00a0 referred to the April 22, 2025 Pahalgam terror attack and said the country had moved away from what he described as a passive approach to terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>He said India had demonstrated through the 2016 surgical strikes, the 2019 Balakot airstrikes and Operation Sindoor that it would respond firmly to terror attacks originating from across the border.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIndia does not provoke anyone, but if somebody provokes us, we do not spare them,\u201d Singh said while addressing the gathering.<\/p>\n<p>Without naming specific groups, the Defence Minister said Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 civilians dead had angered the entire country and forced India to deliver what he termed a \u201cfitting reply.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Singh said \u201cOperation Sindoor\u201d had sent a clear message to Pakistan and claimed the operation showcased unprecedented coordination among the Army, Air Force and Navy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPakistan may now think twice before attempting such acts again. But if it repeats such actions, India\u2019s response will be even stronger,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Minister asserted that no border would prevent India from acting against terrorism if national security was threatened.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the country\u2019s policy under Prime Minister Narendra Modi was based on zero tolerance towards terrorism.<\/p>\n<p>Referring to India\u2019s changing security doctrine, Singh said the country was no longer willing to \u201csilently suffer\u201d attacks on its citizens and would retaliate decisively against those responsible.<\/p>\n<p>He also said Indian culture promoted justice and humanity without discrimination based on caste or religion, contrasting it with what he alleged was the conduct of terrorists involved in attacks on civilians.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Rajnath Singh has also decided to reduce the size of his official convoy to less than half of its earlier strength following Prime Minister Modi\u2019s recent appeal to conserve fuel and encourage economic resilience amid the ongoing West Asia crisis.
