Under the operation, Indian forces carried out precision strikes targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The military confrontation between the two countries later intensified, with Pakistan launching offensives against India. Indian retaliatory actions and subsequent counter-offensives were also conducted under the broader framework of Operation Sindoor.

The conflict lasted for 4-days. The hostilities ended after Pakistan Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) approached his Indian counterpart and requested for a ceasefire.

Military officials had earlier stated that India’s air defence systems, including the Indian Air Force’s Air Command and Control System, successfully neutralised multiple swarm drones launched by Pakistan during the confrontation.

According to official accounts, Pakistan failed to inflict damage on any major Indian military installation during the escalation.
