{"id":2026,"date":"2025-10-24T20:42:26","date_gmt":"2025-10-24T20:42:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=2026"},"modified":"2025-10-24T20:42:26","modified_gmt":"2025-10-24T20:42:26","slug":"reasi-gets-vande-bharat-connect-from-oct-29","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2025\/10\/24\/reasi-gets-vande-bharat-connect-from-oct-29\/","title":{"rendered":"Reasi Gets Vande Bharat connect from Oct 29"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jammu, Oct 24:\u00a0<\/strong>The Northern Railway has decided to introduce a new halt for the Srinagar\u2013Katra Vande Bharat Express at Reasi railway station from October 29, 2025, in a move aimed at improving passenger convenience and responding to local demand.<\/p>\n<p>Officials said that the train, numbered 26401-26402, will stop for two minutes at Reasi in both directions.<\/p>\n<p>Until now, the semi-high-speed train only had a single stop between Katra and Srinagar \u2014 at Banihal.<\/p>\n<p>The Katra\u2013Srinagar Vande Bharat Express, flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 6, 2025, became the first rail service to directly connect the Jammu region with the Kashmir Valley.<\/p>\n<p>Since its launch, it has been widely appreciated for its comfort, speed, and reliability.<\/p>\n<p>Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager of Northern Railway, said the decision was taken to cater to the growing number of passengers from Reasi district, which attracts thousands of devotees visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine and tourists coming to see the Chenab Bridge, the world\u2019s highest railway bridge.<\/p>\n<p>He said the new halt will boost connectivity and promote tourism in the region.
