Overloading in passenger vehicles must be avoided, while car-pooling is encouraged. Hawkers and vendors have also been directed not to occupy footpaths.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCommuters are advised to use diversion and alternative routes to avoid congestion. Public Service Vehicle (PSV) operators should avoid slow movement, intermittent stops, and unauthorised boarding or alighting of passengers. Road discipline must be treated as a collective responsibility. Follow the route plan, lane discipline, and avoid overtaking to prevent traffic jams,\u201d the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>He further advised motorists to give way to emergency and referral services, avoid unnecessary loitering in congested areas, and refrain from last-minute travel during the rush.
