{"id":20596,"date":"2026-05-21T19:19:41","date_gmt":"2026-05-21T19:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=20596"},"modified":"2026-05-21T19:19:41","modified_gmt":"2026-05-21T19:19:41","slug":"only-fit-sacrificial-animals-allowed-in-sopore-markets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/05\/21\/only-fit-sacrificial-animals-allowed-in-sopore-markets\/","title":{"rendered":"Only fit sacrificial animals allowed in Sopore markets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sopore, May 21:\u00a0<\/strong>Ahead of Eid ul Adha, the Sopore administration for the first time has made veterinary screening mandatory for all sacrificial animals to ensure that only medically fit livestock is allowed for sale and sacrifice in markets across the sub district.<\/p>\n<p>The administration has directed that every animal brought to livestock mandis and sale points in the sub-division will now undergo ante mortem medical inspection by certified veterinary teams before being cleared for sale.<\/p>\n<p>To implement the directions, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Sopore, S A Raina said dedicated teams comprising Veterinary Assistant Surgeons and other officials have been deployed at major livestock markets and town centres.
