{"id":21291,"date":"2026-06-02T00:32:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-02T00:32:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=21291"},"modified":"2026-06-02T00:32:23","modified_gmt":"2026-06-02T00:32:23","slug":"boy-drowns-in-nigeen-lake","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/06\/02\/boy-drowns-in-nigeen-lake\/","title":{"rendered":"Boy drowns in Nigeen Lake"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Srinagar, Jun 01: A boy drowned to death while bathing in Nigeen Lake near Nigeen Club area of Srinagar on Monday afternoon, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>An official told the news agency\u2014Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a rescue team comprising SDRF Nigeen and others launched a rescue operation soon after receiving information about the incident.<\/p>\n<p>He said the boy was retrieved from the water and shifted to SDH Hazratbal (Habbak), where doctors declared him brought dead.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased was later identified as Nazil Shakeel Bhat, son of Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Nowhatta area of Srinagar.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, cognizance of the incident has been taken up.
