As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA), a series of awareness, outreach and enforcement activities were conducted across district Budgam on Thursday to strengthen efforts against drug abuse and promote a healthy, drug-free society.<\/p>\n
A drug awareness programme was organized at Khag with participation from officials of various departments, social activists, chemists and senior citizens.<\/p>\n
The programme focused on sensitizing participants about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of community participation in preventing substance addiction among youth.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, enforcement activities under the campaign were also intensified.<\/p>\n
A destruction drive was carried out in village Mazhama of Tehsil Magam, where wild cannabis growing on\u00a0 vulnerable areas was eradicated through coordinated efforts of the concerned departments.<\/p>\n
The programmes highlighted the significance of awareness generation, preventive measures and collective action in addressing the challenge of drug abuse.<\/p>\n
Participants were encouraged to act as ambassadors of change and spread awareness within their communities.<\/p>\n
