Srinagar, Jul 07: Several delegations and individuals called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday, projecting various public issues, cultural initiatives, and developmental concerns.<\/p>\n
A delegation led by former Minister and President of J&K People’s Democratic Front (PDF), Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, projected various public important issues of Budgam District, including reopening of Tosamaidan, night halts of tourists at Doodhpathri, reopening of the Bugroo\u2013Raithan\u2013Mujpathri\u2013Doodhpathri road, and water supply in Humhama area.<\/p>\n
Dr. Suheel Rasool Mir, Sociologist and Cultural Researcher, called on the Lieutenant Governor and apprised him of several initiatives aimed at documenting, preserving, and promoting the Union Territory’s diverse cultural heritage. He briefed the Lieutenant Governor on his extensive research and cultural documentation initiatives, including the conceptualization, curation, and establishment of Shina Cultural Centre at Gurez, Pahari Cultural Centre at Karnah, and Shina-Dard Cultural Centre at Darchik.<\/p>\n
The Lieutenant Governor was also presented with the inaugural edition of Shinon Meeras Dard Heritage Magazine and a book titled Voices Across the Pir Panjal, authored by Dr. Mir.<\/p>\n
