\u00a0Srinagar, July 09: The\u00a0Passport\u00a0Seva Project (PSP) under the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, has introduced Mobile\u00a0Passport\u00a0Van\u00a0Services to ensure seamless\u00a0passport\u00a0facilities for applicants residing in different jurisdictions, including remote and far-flung areas. Under this initiative, the Regional\u00a0Passport\u00a0Office (RPO), Srinagar, will operate a Mobile\u00a0Passport\u00a0Van\u00a0in Kargil district for facilitating\u00a0passport-related services to applicants.<\/p>\n
The Mobile\u00a0Passport\u00a0Van, as per a PIB statement,\u00a0will remain stationed for two days at the Tourist Facilitation Centre, Bemathang, Kargil on July 13 (Monday) to July 15, 2026 (Wednesday). Applicants from Kargil and adjoining areas can avail\u00a0passport\u00a0services by booking appointments through the official\u00a0Passport\u00a0Seva website.<\/p>\n
Applicants are required to visit the website and select \u201cPassport\u00a0Van\u201d as the service option while choosing their preferred appointment slot for the specified dates.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the initiative, B. S. Rawat,\u00a0Passport\u00a0Officer, Srinagar, said that the Mobile\u00a0Passport\u00a0Van\u00a0Service reflects the Government of India\u2019s commitment to extending citizen-centric\u00a0passport\u00a0services to people living in remote regions and ensuring greater accessibility, transparency and convenience in\u00a0passport\u00a0delivery mechanisms.<\/p>\n
The applicants should report to the designated location at the scheduled time on the date of appointment and may contact the Mobile\u00a0Passport\u00a0Van\u00a0Team Registration Number PB65BF1377 for any further assistance.
