{"id":25323,"date":"2026-07-16T19:00:05","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T19:00:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=25323"},"modified":"2026-07-16T19:00:05","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T19:00:05","slug":"jammu-tawi-railway-station-expands-to-seven-operational-platforms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/07\/16\/jammu-tawi-railway-station-expands-to-seven-operational-platforms\/","title":{"rendered":"Jammu Tawi Railway Station expands to seven operational platforms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Jammu, Jul 16:\u00a0<\/strong>Jammu Tawi Railway Station has expanded its operational capacity with the opening of Platforms 4, 5, 6 and 7 for passenger and train operations, taking the total number of functional platforms at the station to seven from the earlier three.<\/p>\n<p>According to details, the newly constructed Platforms 6 and 7 have been commissioned under the station redevelopment project, while Platforms 4 and 5 have also been restored for regular operations.<\/p>\n<p>Train No. 12413 became the first train to be received at the newly built Platform 6.<\/p>\n<p>According to Northern Railway&#8217;s Jammu Division, the additional platforms will significantly enhance the station&#8217;s capacity to handle simultaneous train arrivals and departures, ensuring smoother train movement, reduced halting time and improved passenger convenience.
