The initiative aims to streamline municipal waste processing, protect sanitation workers and significantly reduce the volume of waste sent to dumping grounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Under the four-bin system, the blue sticker designates dry recyclable waste such as paper, plastic, glass, metal cans, cardboard boxes and Tetra Paks, with an instruction that all materials must be clean and dry. The green sticker covers biodegradable wet waste, including food scraps, vegetable and fruit peels, leftover meals, tea leaves, coffee grounds and garden waste like leaves and grass.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For specialised waste, the red sticker guides the safe disposal of hygiene items including sanitary pads, diapers, cotton, tissues, wet wipes and menstrual cups. The black sticker addresses special care household hazardous waste, providing explicit guidelines for items like used batteries, expired medicines, thermometers, tube lights, bulbs, chemicals and nail polish or removers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Community Mobilisers and Swachhata Executives are continuing their outreach across all municipal wards in Bandipora.
