Six FBOs were compounded under Section 69 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and a fine of\u00a0\u20b96,000 was imposed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In view of the prevailing rainy season, consumers were advised to use boiled drinking water, avoid pre-cut fruits and food kept\u00a0 in unhygienic conditions, and ensure proper storage of food items.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FDA has requested consumers to report any suspected unsafe or adulterated food product through Toll-Free Helpline No. 104 or email at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:cfsjandk.fnd@jk.gov.in\">cfsjandk.fnd@jk.gov.in<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SRINAGAR, JULY 23: The Food &amp; Drugs Administration (FDA), J&amp;K conducted inspections and sampling across the Union Territory to check compliance with food safety requirements.
