{"id":29355,"date":"2026-09-01T16:04:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-01T16:04:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/?p=29355"},"modified":"2026-09-01T16:04:06","modified_gmt":"2026-09-01T16:04:06","slug":"mvd-police-conduct-enforcement-drive-e-challan-23-vehicles-in-ramban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kashmirthunder.in\/index.php\/2026\/09\/01\/mvd-police-conduct-enforcement-drive-e-challan-23-vehicles-in-ramban\/","title":{"rendered":"MVD, police conduct enforcement drive, E-challan 23 vehicles in Ramban"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 1: The Motor Vehicles Department (MVD), Ramban, in coordination with the District Police, conducted a joint surprise enforcement drive Tuesday at Maitra, Atri Chowk and T-Chowk to check compliance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.<\/p>\n<p>The enforcement drive was led by ARTO Varun Bhasin.\u00a0 The MVD team checked 146 vehicles, of which 23 vehicles were e-challaned for various violations of the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.<\/p>\n<p>The violations included overcharging, overloading, operating without valid permits, use of curtains on vehicle windows and operating without valid fitness certificates, among other offences.<\/p>\n<p>Vehicles found plying without the required statutory documents were challaned, while those involved in serious violations were seized as per the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.<\/p>\n<p>The total expected amount of the e-challans is approximately\u00a0\u20b954,500.
